They are growing like wild. They opened their eyes on April 26 to try to get a look at their world. .

Pika received 106 points in Natural Ability and a Prize II. She received 169 points in Utility and a Prize III. Her hips were rated excellent. She has a very pleasant personality around the house but a keen hunter in the field. Pika has recently turned 4 years of age.

Based on the recently discovered DNA test for Black Hair Follicular Dysplasia, Pika was diagnosed as a carrier. Therefore, we have selected a sire only among those dogs tested free of this disorder. All pups in this litter will be tested prior to delivery to their owners so that they know who is a carrier and who is not.

Although Pika's dam Grackle carried brown, Pika did not inherit this according to DNA testing and so can not pass this on.

The sire chosen for the Sunnynook T litter is Breezy Point's Fourpaws "Wisco". He is owned by Emil & Joan Rothelisberger of Colorado. "Wisco's" parents were their male Dux von Ebental and Mike Melotik's female Breezy Point's Amber, both Prize I Utility dogs. "Wisco" passed Natural Ability with 103 points and a Prize II. He passed Utility with 184 points and a Prize I. His hips were rated good by OFA at 4 years of age. "Wisco" has not sired a litter previously but is now over 6 years. We consider that his health and hunting ability at this age are a strong point in his favor. Wisco does not carry BHFD by DNA testing.

Wisco is a normal good tempered and confident dog, who is very cooperative and happy. He is affectionate and friendly with people, has a strong desire to please and is a bold dedicated hunter. Wisco gets along well with other dogs, wants to be dominant around other males but displays no aggressive behavior. He is very playful with people, other dogs and always energetic.
