The Artisanal Fur Collective of Canada was formed in 2019 to share ideas, information and inspiration. We are committed to using Canadian fur, tanned in Canada, and crafted in Canada. Please see the Artisan Member Page for more information.
Beginners and experienced artisans are welcome to join. If you are interested in participating in the Artisanal Fur Collective of Canada, please e-mail
A member-only discussion group is proposed to share photos, videos, comments, technique tips, sources for materials, etc. Later this year, the members will decide is they would like this website to serve as a directory with links to their own websites or Facebook pages.
Most of our artisan members use wild fur in wide variety of fur clothing and accessories including trapper hats; gauntlets and mittens; fur trimmed mocassins; fur trimmed mittens, fur collars, neckpieces, and stoles; wool hats with fur trim; wool capes and jackets with fur collars; parka ruffs; fur muffs; etc. Each of us typically specializes in a few articles of clothing. Home decor items such as fur pillows and throws are also made by some artisans. |

Members typically sell their products individually. Some have online sales available via websites, whereas others only sell at artisan and craft markets, or through select stores that specialize in handmade items. Some will take custom orders.
